René Pozas was trained in Havana, Cuba as an Industrial Engineer, a profession he decided to put aside in order to devote himself entirely to painting. As a self-taught artist, Pozas is open to growth. His initially impressionist work evolved to focus on landscape as the main theme. Pozas endeavors to capture a photographic realism, where the light, serenity and depth of his imaginary fields envelop the viewer's gaze. He invites his audience to contemplate how small we are in comparison to the natural world surrounding us.
